Please note: Afternoon game drives start at 15h00 in low season and 16h00 in high season.
Game Activities: Guests enjoy morning and evening game drives / river cruises in our quoted inclusive rates. Guided bush walks and canoeing are also free of charge.
Children Game Drive Policy:
Children 5 years and under can enjoy game drives, but it is in the Ranger’s and ultimately the General Manager’s discretion as to whether they can be taken into sightings of the more dangerous “Big-5” animals, for safety reasons.
A tailor-made Children’s Program is available at Main Lodge for kids every day from 11h00 to 14h00.
Our rates are quoted on a fully inclusive basis and will apply no matter whether a guest misses any meals or activities. In addition, no refunds will be due if any activities are not available or possible due to prevailing weather conditions or factors out of Kariega’s control.
Full accommodation and other charges payable 30 days prior to arrival.
25% of charges payable if booking cancelled less than 30 days prior to arrival.
50% of charges payable if booking cancelled less than 14 days prior to arrival.
100% of charges payable if booking cancelled less than 7 days prior to arrival.
Refunds are subject to administration fees.
Travel from Port Elizabeth along the N2 towards Grahamstown for approximately 50 km and then take the Port Alfred turnoff, where you will then travel along the R72 towards Kenton-on-Sea and Port Alfred. The turnoff to River Lodge is signposted and is exactly 15 km beyond Alexandria.
